The pictured copper part has been produced from a seamless elbow of the copper alloy 2.0090 Cu-DHP. These bows have been mechanically produced according to a drawing, cut, milled and drawn. There was no surface treatment required but it would have been possible.




Copper is usually used pure as well as in copper alloys with other metals like tin, zinc, silver, magnesium, nickel, etc. Copper is a naturally occurring metal and is characterized with the symbol Cu.
The salmon-coloured heavy metal has the following characteristics:
- relatively soft metal with good malleability
- high conductivity of temperature and electricity
- low tendency of embrittlement
- highly corrosion resistant
- melting point: 1083°C
Copper is mostly used in the industrial sectors of electric motor technology, air conditioning, engineering and construction industry.
