Heat resistant steel
Alloys with an increased proportion of chrome, silicone and aluminium
Heat resistant steels are especially designed for usage in high temperatures of 600 – 1200°C. many key components of industrial furnace engineering require an extraordinary heat resistance and therefore an associated resistance of scale building on it’s surface.
Compared to standard stainless steels these alloys have a higher proportion of chrome, silicone and aluminium which have a significantly higher affinity to oxygen than to iron so that they build an impermeable oxide layer.
Among their usage in industrial furnace engineering various alloys are used in steam boiler, valve, gas pipeline and generally in piping and plant construction as well as for the production of heat exchangers and fireboxes.
Our product range of heat resistant steels is comprehensive. If you require a special material, don’t hesitate to send your enquiry directly to your contact person.
