1.4005 Datasheet
X12CrS13
stainless steel; corrosion resistant steel; martensite
Energy & environmental technology, Vehicle construction & e-mobility
The material 1.4005 is a stainless, martensitic steel. Its machinability has been improved by the addition of sulfur, which is why this grade is also classified as a free-cutting steel. Due to the addition of sulfur, 1.4005 has the lowest corrosion resistance of all RSH steels.
