Material tests
Acceptances and approvals concerning your purchase order
Regardless of application or sector, security is one of the most important factors. Usually our customers need test certificates according to EN 10204:

You receive those certificates via email as a PDF. As a special service to our customers we archive those documents for ten years so that you or your colleagues have access to them any time – even longer if required.

In addition to these approvals, material tests in the destructive and non-destructive area are also available to you. Depending on the material requirements, different tests are possible.
A human eye can’t see everything. However, for the use of some materials it is mandatory to “have a close look”. The tiniest defect like a defective weld, cracks, inclusions or many others can be detected before use without destroying the material. Therefore, any problems while using material can be detected ahead of use and be avoided.

Quality – also demanded by our partners
The business policy of HSM® requires compliance with certain principles of conduct, both from ourselves and from our suppliers. Our selection of suppliers is therefore based on strict criteria. For initial orders in third countries, we always have an inspection and approval carried out by an independent third party (SGS or TÜV).

Quality & reliability – you can trust in HSM®.
Quality is a constantly high priority issue at HSM® which is proven by the successful implementation and constantly continuation and improvement of a certified quality management system in 2004 (DIN EN ISO 9001:2015). Furthermore, in 2017 HSM® has been certified with the international valid quality certificate EN 9120:2018.
Additionally, we have been audited and certified by major companies according to the regulations of KTA 1401 (nuclear sector).

Supply Chain Act
Although HSM® is not bound by the German Supply Chain Act (Lieferantensorgfaltspflichtengesetz – LkSG) due to the size of the company, we have voluntarily committed ourselves to it. To this end, we have drawn up an HSM® Code of Conduct for ourselves and also for our business relationships with suppliers.
We put an end to the war on paper in 2012 and have been allowed to call ourselves a “paperless” office since then. By processing and archiving files digitally, we save tonnes of paper and thus prevent the unnecessary felling of trees.
Our building is also subject to sustainability. In 2014, for example, we already made sure that sustainable raw materials were used in the new building. The temperature of the rooms is controlled by ventilation systems and concrete temperature control. Since 2022, the entire building has been heated with a heat pump that is state of the art in terms of both its energy and appearance.
The first photovoltaic system was installed on the company roof in 2014. In 2021, this system was completed and the entire roof area was fitted with modules.
The electricity produced can now be used, among other things, to fuel the new e-cars that will complete the fleet of company cars this year with green energy. Eight e-charging stations were installed in the car park for this in 2022.
HSM® also creates living space! On our company’s property there are plenty of native trees and shrubs that not only provide food and hiding places for insects and birds, but also do not require a lot of maintenance.
In addition to waste avoidance, waste separation also plays an important role in environmental protection. Of course, waste is also separated and disposed of properly at HSM®. But we do more than that. An employee’s flock of chickens looks forward to any food that is not eaten during the lunch break.
