stainless steel; corrosion resistant steel; austenite
The material 1.4438 is an austenitic chromium-nickel-molybdenum steel with even higher corrosion resistance than the reference material 1.4435. Due to its chemical resistance, especially to chlorides and other halogens, this steel is frequently used in the chemical and pulp processing industries.
