The material 1.8519 is a CrMoV-alloyed nitriding steel which, due to its high wear resistance, is mainly used in automotive engineering and drive technology. The material 1.8519 (31CrMoV9) is directly comparable with the quenched and tempered steel 1.7709 (30CrMoV9).
